Our client manufactures and markets high-quality drugs in a diversity of fields. The organisation has been undergoing substantial growth and expects to be a global top ten player. In Europe, our client produces, develops and markets products through a network of affiliated companies. The European R&D and manufacturing activities are concentrated in The Netherlands. The European organisation is in Leiden but has a tight line all around the world. For the pharmacovigilance department they are looking for support. Therefore, they would like to meet an experienced PV Vendor Manager with project management skills.
De functie / The role
As a PV Vendor Manager, you are responsible for the oversight and implementation of all case processing and/or literature and/or QC outsourcing activities. You establish and maintain an effective, collaborative working relationship with aligned PV vendors. You assist in the development of a formal forecasting tool for case volume estimates to facilitate vendor capacity planning, including new product launches, clinical case volume estimates and existing product forecasts. Managing day to day interactions with aligned vendor(s), including management of system access for vendor when required is your responsibility. Also, you are the first point of contact for vendor for any process / project related questions or issues. Furthermore, you take responsibility for global ICSR workflow management to ensure efficient and effective resource allocation across the global case processing vendor(s), priority setting of cases within the workflow and assignment of specific case processing-related tasks to either the global vendor(s) or the PV Process regional teams. You maintain oversight of current procedures and best practices and are responsible for identification, initiation and change management of process and productivity improvements for outsourced activities. You participate and contribute to vendor meetings and other relevant activities. Contributing towards delivery of timely and high-quality output of vendor in line with service agreements and in compliance with regulations and requirements, including root cause analysis and CAPA development for vendor failures and timely escalation when necessary, is your task. You develop, implement and measure vendor KPIs to measure performance in quality, timeliness and compliance. In the position you are part of a global team where you report to a manager in a foreign country.
Het profiel / Your profile
o degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience in pharmacovigilance
o PV experience must have a focus on case processing and/or vendor management
o vendor management experience such as KPI monitoring and root cause analysis
o workflow management experience (in Argus 7 preferred)
o demonstrated ability to proactively predict and resolve complex problems, think strategically and tactically, generate solutions to complex problems and build consensus across the global organisation
o able to generate insights and leverage learnings
o able to interpret, execute and recommend changes to established policies and programs, able to determine best course of action based on strategic direction
o analytical skills
o excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with an ability to interact with all levels of personnel
o independent worker: plans, schedules and arranges own activities to achieve desired results
o sense of urgency
